Pate Scholarship:                                                                                                                      Must wish to further their education in the natural resources discipline such as wildlife biology, fisheries biology, forestry or marine science (one year scholarship).
  • James O. Thomason Scholarship:                                                                                                            Must wish to pursue a degree in print or photo journalism, advertising, public relations or mass communications (four year scholarship).
  • David M. Cline Scholarship:                                                                                                                        Must wish to pursue a degree in law enforcement/criminal justice/ forensic science (one year scholarship).

  • Must be a U S Citizen and meet requirements as a South Carolina resident.

Archibald Rutledge Scholarship Program
  • Must be a high school senior on track to graduate by the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year.  
  • Must plan to attend a South Carolina college or university.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have attended public school in South Carolina for the past two consecutive years.
  • May only apply for a scholarship in one of the five art disciplines:  Creative Writing, Dance, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts.
  • Applications are available in the BEHS Guidance Office.

Hagan Scholarship Foundation
  • Must be a citizen of the United States. 
  • Must attend a traditional public high school located in the US.
  • Must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Must enroll at an eligible four-year college or university following high school graduation.
  • Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2025 until commencement of the 2025 fall semester in college.
  • Applicant's Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2022 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. 
  • Must not have a felony conviction.

  • Must be a high school senior on tract to graduate by the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year.  
  • Must be enrolled in a public school district or charter school (public school academy) with at least one current NAFEPA member.
  • Must be pursuing a degree, license, certification, or other professional or vocational endorsement at a post-secondary institution beginning in 2024-2025 and continuing in 2025-2026.
